Types of Toxic Mold
There are over 100,000 different species of mold. Not all molds are harmful. The following is a list of the most common, and dangerous molds encountered in either
homes, schools or workplaces.
Stachybotrys
This strain is commonly referred to as "black mold" because of its appearance. Stachybotrys, followed closely by Chaetomium, is the most dangerous molds to human health. In fact, some experts believe that once Stachbotrys has infiltrated a property it can never be fully remediated.
The most common symptoms from exposure are flu-like symptoms, sore throat, dirreha and headache. Stachybotrys is especially dangerous in young children. Reports of pulmonary hemorrage has been reported.
