1. Travel Clubs
   If you paying more than a nominal charge you are being scammed. The most you will get will be the right to book a trip and a newsletter. A travel club should be a social activity not a means to a discount.
   
   
2. Travel Agent Positions
   Currently, this a popular scheme. You will end up getting bogus credentials and no travel agent discounts. Stay away from this one.
   
   
3. Fraudulent Pricing
   If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Many times ads are for one-way tickets so your price will double. Also watch out for bogus two for one offers that have so many restrictions they are impossible to use.
   
   
4. No Longer In Business
   Make sure you research the financial standing of your agent, airline or cruise line. You may be out a significant amount of money if they go out of business.
