Work-at-Home
In the get rich quick attitude of our current times, people, more than ever, are looking for ways to increase their incomes. In response to this trend, Companies have found a way to prey on the needs of the consumers.
The following are the most common schemes that should be avoided:
- Assembly
These require the purchase of a package in order to get started and you will not make money on these projects. - Data Entry
Most of these jobs require posting ads or, again, require a package that you must purchase to get started. - Multi-Level Marketing
Often time these schemes are patently illegal. These require large network of individuals to be successful and you can imagine how many other people are doing this. No one is making money on these schemes except the promoter. - Internet Businesses
Watch out for these schemes. The consumer ends up buying a package of information that he or she could get free on the Internet. - Ad Postings
This is a variation of the multi-level marketing. The consumer does not get paid for posting the ad but only if other people sign-up. - Claims Processing
You must buy equipment, software and pay for training in order to get the job. - Envelope Stuffing
This is an old one, but people still believe that you can get $4-$5 per envelope. This is clearly a scam to be avoided at all costs.
